The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame (NDCHF) will honor in its Hall of Honorees, Legacy Division, an individual that is currently; or, has previously served as an NDCHF board member; trustee, or an individual recognized by the board of directors that has provided significant support to the success of the NDCHF; with exemplary, long-time service promoting and advancing the vision of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Nominees must have demonstrated exemplary service as an NDCHF board member or NDCHF trustee who has actively participated in activities that positively impacted the development, growth and well-being of the NDCHF and the NDCHF – Center of Western Heritage & Cultures: Native American, Ranching and Rodeo. Nominees must provide a minimum of ten (10) years (consecutive or cumulative) service in the official capacity of a member of the NDCHF Board of Directors or Trustee, or identified by the board of directors with unanimous ballot; and, demonstrated service contributions toward other organizations, activities and events that promote the heritage of Native American, ranching and/or rodeo cultures in North Dakota.
Nomination and Selection
Only the NDCHF Board of Directors may nominate a person(s) for the Legacy Award. Selection will be by formal vote of the NDCHF Board of Directors; nominations approved by the NDCHF Board of Directors are considered final and will not require trustee balloting. All nominations must be accompanied with an official NDCHF nomination form and a good quality photo.
